Water Jet Cutting:

Water Jet CuttingSudholt Sheet Metal provides Precision Water jet Cutting services to a wide array of industries and companies. We can cut materials that are difficult to machine or manufacture using traditional methods. Many of our customers have also realized the benefits of lower cost per piece and higher yield from stock due to nesting parts closer together minimizing waste. We also offer quicker turn-around from conception to delivery. The reason for this is simple, our machines do not require tooling and our software easily converts your DXF, DWG, AutoCAD, and CAD/CAM files to automatically control our equipment during the cutting process.

Are you an individual that doesn’t have the equipment or technology to draw it on the computer? That’s fine you tell us what you want and we will draw it up for you. We can do anything from a one off piece to thousands of multiple pieces.

We have a working table size of 10 ft. by 6ft. We can also readily cut pieces up to 8 inches thick.

Water Jet Information:
Water Jet CuttingDesigned to compliment or replace existing processes such as: Milling, Wire EDM, Laser and Fine Plasma. We can produce your parts from drawing to finished parts in minutes.

Water Jet and Abrasive-Jet cutting is the latest technique for cutting soft materials like paper through to the hardest substances such as titanium, ceramics, steel and granite. This process can even cut glass!

Water Jet cutting is a process of machining utilizing water and abrasives that are pressurized to create a precision stream of fluid that will cut through almost any material. The water is pressurized up to 50,000 psi and then forced through a directional nozzle. Abrasives within the solution ensure that the cut is swift and smooth with minimal edge burning and no material deformation or heat-affected-zone. There is no discoloration due to the heat and this is a great advantage if your part will be visible after assembly and cosmetics are crucial.
